One more day :(

I have one more day in my class here at CIU. It has been a very educational but long week. I have learned so much from my teacher. I really wish I could be down here for a whole semester because I think I could learn a lot more from him. I'm ready to go back to Maryland and to use some of the things that I have learned to equip my church in looking more globally so that we can reach the lost of this world.

It has been good being gone for the last two weeks. Relaxing yet busy. It is going to be strange going back to my regular schedule. I should say it is going to be hard. I need to stay focused and really set a schedule so that I get everything done that I need to. It can be done.

On other thoughts, Sarah and I went to the Chris Tomlin concert tonight. It was AWESOME!!!! Talk about hard core worship. You can't get that much better.

Dining Center

This week I'm getting back to my College years. Sitting in class. Learning a lot. Eating at the DINING CENTER. If you know me really well then you would already know that I love College dining centers. Oh the options you get. So good. When Taegan, Mike and I went to see Steve at school they would not let me go eat at the dining center. Let me take that back they would let me go but they would not go with me. I'm hurt by that. This week is making up for that. Ha.

Columbia

I made it to Columbia! Today was my first class. Our teacher is really nice and is has a lot of knowledge so I think the rest of the week will be great. We went over the Old Testament. It has been really fun going through the Old Testament and really learning God's heart for ALL of the people of the earth. We found out that as a class we are going to see the movie End of the Spear on Wednesday. I'm very excited to see it. Sarah and I were planning on going some time this week so it really works out that we are going with our class. Only 3 more days until the Chris Tomlin concert!!!!!

Yale

Since I'm in New Haven I have gotten to see the Yale campus. It is so awesome. I spent my lunch break today at the Yale Divinity Library. I could spend hours and hours there. So many books!!!! One more day at OMSC. I guess I should finsh my homework soon becaue I leave for Columbia, SC on Sunday for a week of school. This week has been great and I'm really looking forward to next week. I hope to use some of the things I have learned at this conference and talk about it in my class next week. The class that I'm taking is Global Missions and The Church. So it should fit it with what I learned.

Culture

When I think that this conference can't get any better, it does. I'm learning so much and the diversity here is so great. I have been eating with people from Ghana, Indonesia, Singapore, China, Korea, and many more. I have learned so much about culture and what to expect when going into another culture. What to do when in another culture and SO much more. Very exciting stuff.

On another exciting news. I'm going to go see CHRIS TOMLIN next week in Columbia SC!!!!!!!!!!!! I went to see him in October and it was the best concert that I have ever been to. Sarah called me today and said they are playing down there and since we are going to be down there taking classes it works out great. I"M VERY EXCITED!!!!!

In Connecticut

This week I'm spending my time in New Haven Connecticut. I'm at the Overseas Ministries Study Center. I'm here for a week long conference. Dr. Darrell Whitman is here to discuss with us about how one's worldview and theology of culture affect cross-cultural mission. Wow has it been great so far and it is only Tuesday. I have been learning so much and this is such good information as I'm preparing to go to Poland to work with children's ministry. I will update you all a little later.
